When our patients call us with an eye emergency, we do everything we can to see them quickly. Covid-19 has affected how we take care of emergencies. There is more telephone triaging and more telemedicine. Feel free to phone us with your emergencies- whether you have poked yourself in the eye, woke up with your eyes glued shut from infection, experience pain or sudden visual change. We are here for you.

Flashes and Floaters

Sudden flashes of light in your vision and the development of floaters can be quite normal, but can also signify retina problems that are considered to be ocular emergencies. Never hesitate to call if you experience new flashes or floaters- we will see you asap...and you will need to have a dilated exam so bring sunglasses and a hat.
